Importantly, all six goalkeepers are playing regularly in competitive leagues, ensuring they are match-ready if called upon.

The Nigerian Football Federation NFF and Eric Chelle must act quickly to convince these players to commit to the Super Eagles. Several of them are eligible for other nations, and delaying their recruitment could mean losing them permanently. The competition for dual-national players is fierce, and Nigeria must be proactive in securing talent before other countries make their moves.

If Nigeria wants to be a dominant force in African football again, strengthening the goalkeeping department is essential. Bringing in these players would not only improve the squad’s depth but also push Nwabali and other current goalkeepers to maintain high standards.
